Pontormo, Jacopo Carucci

Pontormo, Jacopo Carucci (1494–1557) Italian painter. He is thought to have painted Vertumnus and Pomona (1520–21), which shows qualities characteristic of mannerism. Other paintings include The Madonna (1518), The Visitation (1516), and Deposition (c.1527).
