Moholy-Nagy, László
Moholy-Nagy, László (1895–1946) Hungarian designer, painter and sculptor. He was one of the most influential founders of
constructivism. Moholy-Nagy taught at the
Bauhaus (1923–28), before working in Berlin as a stage designer and film-maker. He then moved to Paris, Amsterdam, and London. In 1937, he emigrated to the USA and became director of the short-lived New Bauhaus.
