Frazier, Joe
Frazier, Joe (1944– ) US heavyweight boxer. In 1968, Frazier won a version of the world's heavyweight title when he beat Buster Mathis and was undisputed champion after he defeated Jimmy Ellis (1970). He lost the title to George Foreman (1973). His bouts with Muhammad
Ali, whom he defeated in 1971, were his most notable. After losing again to Foreman and twice to Ali, he retired in 1976.
