Burne-Jones, Sir Edward Coley (1833–98) English painter and designer. Burne-Jones was influenced by Dante Gabriel
Rossetti and William
Morris, and was associated with the
Pre-Raphaelite Brotherhood's Romanticism and escapism. He often depicted scenes from Arthurian and similar legends, and was considered an outstanding designer of stained glass.
