British Legion
British Legion Organization of ex-service men and women for helping disabled and unemployed war veterans, their widows and families. Each year, during the week preceding Remembrance Day (the Sunday nearest to November 11), millions of artificial red poppies are sold to commemorate the dead of two World Wars and raise funds for the Legion.
