America's Cup

America's Cup International competition for racing yachts. A trophy was established in 1857 by the New York Yacht Club. Several countries compete in a series of eliminators, before challenging the previous winners. The USA has won the best-of-seven series on almost every occasion, and traditionally hosts the contest off Newport, Rhode Island.
