uvarovite Member of the garnet group Ca3Cr2Si3O12; sp. gr. 3.9; hardness 7.0–7.5; emerald green; occurs as cubic crystals and massive; found in serpentinite in association with chromite, and in metamorphosed limestones and skarn ores.
