Unified Stratigraphic Time-scale (UTS) A proposed universal time-scale that would combine both absolute and relative time-scales (see GEOCHRONOLOGY) that have been deduced by all possible means, including biostratigraphy, chronostratigraphy, stratigraphy, magnetostratigraphy, and radiometric dating.
