glass-box testing

glass-box testing (white-box testing) A style of testing that considers the inputs, the outputs, and the relationships specified between them, together with knowledge of the internal structure or processing, in order to derive test inputs that will demonstrate that the required outputs occur. Usually the term is applied to software. Compare black-box testing.
