Āśrama, Āśram.
1. A centre (usually Hindu) for religious study and meditation.

2. The four stages of life for a Hindu following the Vedic way: brahmacarya (receiving instruction), gṛhastha (householder), vānaprastha (forest dweller), saṃnyāsa (renouncer).
