Iṣṭadevatā

Iṣṭadevatā (Skt., ‘beloved’ + ‘god’). The chosen deity, in Hinduism, of a temple, family, or cult; or the deity, either chosen by a worshipper, or given to a devotee by a guru (along with a personal mantra). The form of the chosen deity is known as lakṣya.
