Ekāgrata
Ekāgrata (Skt., ‘one-pointedness’). Concentration on a single point in Hindu and Buddhist yoga, especially rāja yoga, which controls the fluctuations of the mind (cittavṛtti) generated by sense activity (indriya) and karmic residues (saṃskāras). Through concentration, all distractions are eliminated and the mind eventually achieves such one-pointedness that samādhi is reached.
