Chandogya Upaniṣad

Chandogya Upaniṣad. One of the earlier Upaniṣads, attached to the Sāmaveda. It includes the dialogue between Uddālaka Āruni and his son Śvetaketu, in which the teaching on the way in which Brahman, the Absolute, permeates the universe, culminates in the focal (mahāvakya) sentence, tat tvam asi, That thou art.
