Birkat ha-minim (Heb., ‘benediction concerning heretics’). The twelfth benediction of the Jewish ʿAmidah. It invokes God's wrath on the ‘kingdom of arrogance’. It originates from the time of the second Temple and has been used against collaborators, Sadducees, and Judaeo-Christian sects.
