Aaronides

Aaronides. Descendants of Aaron and members of the Israelite priesthood. According to Numbers 18. 1–7, there is a clear distinction between members of the house of Levi and the direct descendants of Aaron who ‘shall attend to your priesthood for all that concerns the altar and that which is within the veil’ (v. 7).
