New Empiricism

New Empiricism. Swedish architecture of the 1940s by Erskine, Markelius, and others, perceived as the ‘New Humanism’ and ‘Welfare-State’ architecture. Its somewhat bland imagery was opposed by the protagonists of New Brutalism.
