Lombard style. Style of architecture, essentially an amalgam of Early Christian and Romanesque, that flourished in Northern Italy in and around Como (e.g. Sant'Abbondio, Como (C11)). It was revived in C19 as part of the Rundbogenstil, and enjoyed a further American Revival, especially for churches.
