Akershus

Akershus , county (1995 pop. 434,544), 1,895 sq mi (4,908 sq km), SE Norway, bordering on the Oslofjord in the south and on Sweden in the east. The capital is Oslo. The county has productive farms and extensive forests, and tourism is important. Manufactures include processed food, textiles, metals, and forest products.
