Original name, Richard Sung Yun; born August 22, 1971, in Seoul, South Korea (some sources cite Washington, DC); some sources state that he immigrated to the United States as an infant; raised near Washington, DC; son of Tom Taeho (a pharmaceutical trader) and Wonhui (an acupuncturist; maiden name, Park) Yune; brother of Carl Yune (an actor; some sources spell name Karl Yune). Education: University of Pennsylvania, business degree, 1994; studied acting. Avocational Interests: Tae kwon do (black belt).
