Apollonius

Apollonius (ăp´əlō´nēəs), in the books of the Maccabees. 1 Governor of Coele-Syria and Phoenicia for Seleucus IV. He oppressed the Jews and was killed by Judas Maccabaeus. 2 Governor of Coele-Syria under Alexander Balas.
