Anaconda ★★½ 1996 (PG-13)

Snakes—lots and lots of snakes. Teeny baby snakes, little snakes, medium-sized snakes, large snakes, and one gigantic 40-foot long snake that likes to swallow people and then vomit them up again (the better to have room to swallow somebody else). Oh yeah, the minimal plot concerns a documentary film crew traveling the Amazon River looking for a legendary Indian tribe. They not only have to contend with the snakes but with crazy, snake-obsessed guide Paul Sarone (Voight). The actors react appropriately to becoming snake food. 90m/C VHS, DVD . Jon Voight, Jennifer Lopez, Ice Cube, Eric Stoltz, Owen Wilson, Kari Wuhrer, Jonathan Hyde, Vincent Castellanos, Danny Trejo; D: Luis Llosa; W: Jim Cash, Jack Epps Jr., Hans Bauer; C: Bill Butler; M: Randy Edelman.
