Menuhin Name of a family of musicians. Yehudi ( Lord Menuhin, 1916–99), a violinist, b. USA, was one of the world's most gifted musicians. He gave his first concert aged seven. During his many world tours, a standard repetoire was interspersed with unfamiliar works. He was also responsible for introducing Indian music to Western audiences. Hephzibah Menuhin (1920–81), his sister, was a pianist who gave many recitals, most often as accompanist to Yehudi. Yaltah (1921–2001), another sister, and Jeremy, a son, were also pianists.
