Two Brothers, One Beer and the American Dream Documentary

"Two Brothers, One Beer and the American Dream," is the story of the Stenger Family who immigrated to America from Germany, settled in Naperville and started a brewery in the 1840's. Brothers John and Nicholas' brewery covered eight acres of land and in 1854 was one of the first breweries to produce a lager beer. At its height, the brewery was a leading employer in Naperville, producing up to 17,000 barrels of beer per year. At one point, a young Adolph Coors was in a supervisory role before he headed west to open his own brewery. The family still lives in Naperville and is in its seventh generation.
