Hitchens vs D'Souza Debate.

Dinesh D'Souza, in his debate with Christopher Hitchens, claimed that influential Scientific thinker and Priest, Pierre Gassendi, helped defend Christianity, this is, at best, problematic. He was also an Epicurean. This contradiction actually helped to undermine Christianity and the 18th Century Enlightenment philosophes knew it. That was why they frequently quoted Gassendi.
