This is the part the show I remember- the applause meter decides the winner, who gets showered with lots of gifts while the other three contestants disappear. And I remember Jack Bailey's tag line of making every woman in America Queen for every day of the year. I also remember Cleveland Amory, then the critic for TV Guide, hated this show with a passion. Whenever he was asked to name the worst show in TV history, he would invariably list QFAD at #1, with "Playboy After Dark" a close #2.
