Die Kristallnacht, also known as die Reichskristallnacht (literally Imperial Crystal Night), die Pogromnacht and inEnglish known as the Night of Broken Glass, was a massive nationwide pogrom in Germany and Austria on the night of November 9 1938, (and into the early hours of the following day).
