John McBain and Hayes Barber: OLTL, 8-1-05

John confronts Hayes about the whereabouts of a still missing Natalie. Hayes taunts him and John tries to kill him. (I removed a bit of the Natalie talk from Hayes in the beginning.) This scene has always interested me for several reasons. First, it shows the beginnings of the unraveling and 180 degree turn this character took. It shows how easily a writer can *snap* change the course of a character like that. It also is infamous because of the "name calling controversy" at the end of the clip. Now we know he is supposed to be yelling "Natalie! where are you" (since she is the one missing) but I remember the hilarious messageboard debates about what he is really saying, because it truly isn't "Natalie." The gamut ran from "Ryan" (is this a new character? LOL) to "Ratalie"(sorta sounds like that LOL!)MY guess is that he was actually saying "Brian" as in Brian Frons, who he was yelling at for greenlighting this shitty storyline! LOL What do you think?
