Is Israel set for an imminent truce?

17 Jan 2009 Israel's security cabinet is meeting to vote on a unilateral ceasefire, as the UN calls for a war crimes probe after two boys dies in Gaza. The cabinet meeting follows the Israeli government's three-week offensive in Gaza - with an announcement from Prime Minister Ehud Olmert expected tonight. But earlier today a UN school in Gaza was hit by an Israeli shell, killing two boys - prompting the UN Relief and Works Agency to call for an investigation into possible war crimes. An agreement has not been reached with Hamas, which says it will not accept a truce unless Israeli troops leave Gaza and border crossings are re-opened.
