Respiratory Simulator - 3D table Movement

All 3 axis move simultaneously creating a 3D movement. Each axis in build independently using stepper motor & lead screw assembly driven by individual stepper card. We used AT89s52 microprocessor with cystall oscilator to produce pulses to control the stepper card. This system by virtue of design capable of 5 um positional accuracy. X axis is driven by teethed belt for better speed. Y and Z axis is directly coupled to motor with Al coupler. The speed limit of X axis would be 10 mm/ sec. Y and Z can run upto 6 mm/ sec. Currently we programmed for linear movement along 3 axis. Its vitually possible to get any non-linear profile you wish you have in 3D.
