Signing Ceremony & Joint Press Audience with PGMA Speech

http://rtvm.gov.ph Tokyo, Japan June 18, 2009 President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo and Japan Prime Minister Taro Aso, together with Foreign Affairs Secretary Alberto Romulo and Japanese Ambassador Makoto Katsura, signed a Joint Statement on Official Development Assistance (ODA) projects between the Philippines and Japan. Three ODA projects include the Agricultural Credit Support Project worth P777 billion pesos, Logistics Infrastructure Development worth P16.16 billion pesos and Project for Flood Disaster Mitigation in Camiguin Island. In her press statement, President Arroyo said, the Philippines values Japan as an extraordinary friend and ally. She also thanked the government of Japan for its hospitality.
