In 1973, the American War was coming to an end with the Paris Peace Accords. Unlike the 1954 Geneva Agreement, the Paris Peace Accords didn't provide for the peaceful political reunification of Vietnam. As a result, the bloodshed between Vietnamese would continue for another 2 years.
