Tiger strangles blesbok

Not for the squeamish or soft-hearted. From "Living With Tigers". John Varty and Dave Salmoni bring two captive-born tiger cubs to South Africa in an experiment to see if a backup population of Bengal tigers already used to hunting for themselves can be established there for eventual release in Asia. In this clip, one of the captive-born tigers brings down a blesbok (a kind of antelope) and gets a throat grip while half-lying on top of it. Salmoni stands right next to the captured blesbok to comment on the tiger's killing technique! It may be part of nature, but the guy must have icewater for blood.
