Liberia

July 2003 Martin Adler takes us into the heart of the Liberian conflict in July 2003. We follow Charles Taylor's gaudy child soldiers as they police their front line: arresting and shooting looters, trying to explain what they are fighting for. We witness horrific gun battles with the inevitable casualties, speak to children as young as 13 armed with enormous assault rifles and learn of the darkest side of the conflict as one boy tells us, "we gonna eat their heart".
