Phosphorescence

Measuring the afterglow time on phosphorescent paper. The light from an UV LED 400nm and 2000mcd is focused by a 75mm diameter lens with 15cm focal length. A tilted rotating mirror projects the beam onto the screen. The LED is switched with 1 Hz and produces a phosphorescent trace with 20s per rotation. The phosphorescence is visible for about a minute in a dimmed room.
