The Message 15 - Duties of Husband towards Wife - Part 1

Originally Aired on Feb 7th, 2008 This Episode concluded a two-night discussion on Marriage by reading articles and lectured by well-known Imams regarding the way a husband should treat his wife. The commentary illustrated the kind of loving tenderness and caring devotion that a husband should have toward his wife and underscored the fact that women are not to be slaves to their husbands. For those of you wondering about having two episodes in one week: The radio program was moved from Wednesday night to Thursday night to make it easier for our family to travel to the radio station since The Message had been on Wednesday night and Women in Islam was on Thursday. In the future we may break up this two hour time block into 30-minute segments or even allow one of the shows to run longer if needed. Insh'Allah we pray for continued support from donors and listeners alike. The Message is an English Language radio talk show broadcast on DWDD 1134Khz in Manila, Philippines. The show airs live on Thursday nights from 7pm-8pm and is rebroadcast on Friday nights from 11-midnight. The program deals with Islamic issues and relates Islam to listeners as Muslim and non-Muslim alike. The Message seeks to bring a balanced understanding of Islam and to eliminate false impressions of Islam given to it by the mass-media, extremist groups and radical evangelical movements.
