Robin Donald sings Calypas aria 'You Give Me Choice' from Tamberlaine

Australian tenor ROBIN DONALD sings 'Calyphas' last act aria from the opera "TAMBURLAINE". The opera is based on the story of the 15th Century brutal and barbaric Mongolian warrior and conqueror 'Tamburlaine The Great', know as the 'Scourge of God'. Tamburlaine learns of a plot by his Son 'Calyphas' to rid the world of his tyrant father and has his Son and his Son's lover 'put to death'. Robin Donald premiered the opera by the Australian composer ELAINE MURDOCH singing the role of 'Calyphas' in Manchester England in 1969. The title role of 'Tamburlaine' was performed by the English bass ERIC STANARD'. This video is captioned.
