Major Dick Winters Speed Painting "Lead by Example' By James Wilkinson

The first of Ten paintings by Artist james Wilkinson to commemorate the brave acts of major Dick Winters during the Normandy campaign of WW11. The leader of the 'Band of Brothers' this painting will be displayed in Normandy during 2009 to raise awareness that this now 91-year old man has still been ignored by congress despite a petition of nearly 30,000 people asking that his actions be recognised. Major Dick Winters was a peacemaker not a war-mongerer; not a killer but a saver of lives, as such the very least his own Govt. can do is recognise these facts.
