Mariola Brillowska in Miami at Nada Dauthger Of Tie

Dauthger Of Tie Cordially welcome in the house of the tie. In this house there is nothing but ties. My name is Mariola Brillowska. I am the daughter of the tie. The famous tie-maker Jan Krawacki from the Danzig quarter Oliwa, Asnyka Street 2, was my father. One day Jan hung himself on his red favourite tie. He left 1000 ties to me, exactly 1000. By the death of my father I became an orphan. My mother died already at my birth. Indeed, I belong to those very few persons, who saw the light of day in Zoppot. Klaus Kinski was born there. Zoppot is the Eastern European Las Vegas. In Zoppot, a law was passed stating that the casinos are to be entered only with a tie. In the 20 years that I spent with my father, he sewed more than 1000 ties from rags of the Red Cross. He sewed at night, by hand, in order not to wake me up. We only had one room to live in. During the day my father was a gravedigger. In that job he continued sewing until he fell asleep. Then he woke up from stinging himself with the needle and cried on the tie and his ever bloody hands. Because we were very poor. In order to earn something extra, I sold the hand sewn ties of my father in front of the casinos. In Zoppot, I was called „the girl with the ties. After the death of my father I put the 1000 ties in 2 bags and emigrated to Hamburg. Thanks to the tie-collection I was accepted at the academy of fine arts. I did not tell anybody that my own father created these ties. Today I confess: this was my first artistic lie.
