Nikko

One of our last trips before the summer vacation began was to Nikko. We spent 2 days there exploring the temples and the waterfalls. Plus, we stayed at the superb Kanaya Hotel, which is famous for being the very first western-style hotel in Japan, although in a much classier way than say the Hilton or Hyatt! The best part was our omikuji fortunes. We got them in basically all of the temples and shrines we visited and all of them were pretty good luck!
