Hegira

Hegira tells the story of a young woman who travels to another dimension. Here she finds a system she wants to make contact with. When she has made contact, she becomes one with the system, but does that mean she can never leave the dimension again? Hegira symbolises the lack of contact in public spaces like train station, metro or airport. The majority of the people never makes contact with a stranger in these places, even when they actually long to do so. Film by Dorus van Lieshout, 19 year old student of Image & Media Technology at the Utrecht School of the Arts (HKU) in Holland. Actress: Peggy van de Beuken Music by: David Hoogerheide
