Corn Snake sampling air at 420 fps

Snakes use their forked tongues to collect particles from the air. The tongue is brushed against an organ in the roof the their mouth, the Jacobson's Organ, or vomeronasal organ. Particles are placed there, and are interpreted by the brain for meaning--such as possible food. Usually the tongue is only seen as a quick blurred motion; but not if the camera can shoot 420 frames per second.
