Creating the Muscle Shoals sound

In 1969, four Alabama studio musicians left the storied Fame Recording Studios to create the Muscle Shoals Sound Studio. Their first client was Cher, who even named her album "3614 Jackson Highway" -- the address of the studio. In this clip, drummer Roger Hawkins and bassist David Hood describe the early days of a studio that would go on to become a 1970s icon.
