Life of Chinese Orphan Forever Changed by Vascular Surgery

Five-year-old Gong Lu of Fenyi, China has a short wish list for a child her age. She dreams of a school with other children, an operation to remove a tumor from her nose and adoption into a loving family. Orphaned when she was only a few days old, Gong Lu lives in a welfare center, surrounded by people who love her, support her uniqueness and have helped her foster an incredible sense of self confidence. She was born with a significant deformity on her nose, a vascular tumor the size of her fist, made up of tissue and blood vessels that have grown out of control.
