Brass Madness

2005 6:30 A Short film by artist Adam Scott Miller (http://CorpusCallosum.cc)used in completing thesis for a class entitled "Theories of Madness". As the title implies, this film is about confronting the absurd truth of the matter behind ego administrated reality. "Every form of truth must be shipwrecked in the world, and none can substitute itself absolutely for the truth." Karl Jaspers The character becomes bound to the depths of Being in its individual universal character, become existentially "historical," only if he enters into and accept the restrictions of my empirical existence. The being is only genuinely in communication if he can be alone before Transcendence in his limits and bases. In action, we only truly accomplish something out of potential existence only if we are consciously prepared to accept its shipwreck of rational logic. The character is genuinely rational only if the whole reason factually and for my knowing is grounded upon unreason. Perhaps, only through doubting whether we believe.
