Russo-Japanese War

A series of Japanese lithographs from the Russo-Japanese war of 1904-1905. The music is the American Civil war song "Marching Through Georgia" Which was sung by Japanese troops before the Siege of Port Arthur. NOTE: That is incorrect. Wikipedia has improved a lot but it is not infallible. The song the Japanese sang was Tokyo bushi, a popular enka song which had the same tune. That song was composed in 1919, so they could not have sang it during the Russo-Japanese war. I shall leave the video up as a monument to poor research.
