Elvis Country - "Memphis Crawl" - Laura & The Smokin Mickeys

The tune is called "Memphis Crawl" and was written by Laura returning to new York last spring in the back seat of a 67 Mustang whilst Phil & Sean changed a flat tyre. Inspired by Elvis Country and her first trip to Memphis and Graceland. This was the first performance of the tune at Big Bob's Birthday Party Bash out side on Big Bobs Porch in Long Valley state of New Jersey Band - Laura & The Smokin Mickeys, Big Bob is a friend of the Smokin Mickeys and Laura joined the band for the party, some of you may spot the gold 50 twirling about in front of band, it was a great wee night for Big Bob Band members Keith bass player of Sam The Sham,drummer Chris Ohara has appeared as band member in 2 episodes of the Sopranos, Sean the guitarists family come from Freehold New Jersey, where Bruce Springsteen "The Boss" was brought up. Pat Robinson is a great accordian player and lives in Woodstock home of the famous festival. Laura McGhee Update - Laura is working with Dixi Chicks writer Jim Lauderdale in January 2008.
