Fiescanto Cafe presents Murad's Bites "Harissa"

Harissa is a kind of food made of oats, meat, ghee, spices or herbs cooked till it is solid. From this base it is develop into a number of variation, and it can be eaten with salad or sauce or honey. Harrisa is seasonal food it came out only during Hari Raya and only can be found at selected homes. Harissa was originated in the Middle East as a porridge. The Riau royalties in early 19th century in Riau Archipelago mainly the last sultan of Riau favourite dish Raja Muda Ali Kelana. Since then the decendent of this royalties brought it to Johor which was accepted by the Johor Royalties and thus become one of the royal delicacies. Today Harrisa has been introduced to the public and was accepted and proven during our exhibition in MAHA 2006, Satu Daerah Satu Industri (SDSI) June 2007 in Malacca and Malaysian International Food & Beverage (Mifb) at MATRADE convention centre July 2007 in Kuala Lumpur. With the acceptance of this product under the R&D Harrisa has been developed in a few variations of presentation of the food in a way of how the food is to be eaten. Since then Harrisa has been introduced by entrepeneur from Johor who has moved to Selangor and made Harrisa as a frozen food product , under the brand name of Murad's Bites. Harissa is now being sold at Fiescanto Cafe which provides Johorean food mainly Harissa as the main attraction with other Johorean dish such as Kacang Pol, Mee Rebus Johor, Mee Bandung Muar and many other mouth watering dishes.
