Shoreline Community College President Lee Lambert and SCC student Phil Lou testified Tuesday, April 21, 2009 before the U.S. Senate Committee on Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions hearing entitled, "Empowering Workers to Rebuild Americas Economy and Longer-Term Competitiveness: Green Skills Training for Workers." The hearing was chaired by U.S. Sen. Patty Murray, D-Wash., and also included testimony from: U.S. Secretary of Labor Hilda; Dean Allen, Chief Executive Officer of McKinstry Company, Seattle; Mark H. Ayers, President, Building and Construction Trades Department, AFL-CIO, Washington, D.C.; and Joan Evans, Director, Wyoming Department of Workforce Services, Cheyenne, WY.
