To show his love for the Philippines and the Filipino people, Apl.de.ap and Department of Tourism Chief Secretary Joseph Ace Durano spearheaded a new tourism campaign called Take Me to the Philippines. The Take Me to the Philippines campaign is truly the first of its kind because it makes use of MTV to tell the world about our lovely archipelago. The campaign started off with the unveiling of Apls new single and video, Take U to the Philippines, featuring a video montage of our countrys sights and lyrics that reveal local flavor when thinking about places to see in the country. Take U to the Philippines is not Apls first song about the Philippines; an older single called The Apl Song also speaks about his longing for the homeland. However, this new single is the first to be used for the Department of Tourisms promotional services.
