Cerenkov Radiation / Strahlung

Its some sort of sonic boom of light. Light speed in media like water is slower than in vacuum. So particles that travel faster than light speed in that specific media make a light cone. Its something similar to sonic boom. Diese Cerenkov Strahlung entsteht wenn Teilchen im Wasser sich schneller bewegen als die Lichtgeschwindigkeit im Medium. Daher entstehen diese Strahlen.
